National Night Out

We had a fun time visiting outside with neighbors last night in celebration of National Night Out. This is the 3rd time we have organized it and this year was the best turn out. We were hoping some new families that have moved in this summer would stop over and most of them did. In total we counted 48 people that came--27 adults and 21 children. I didn't even realize there were that many kids on our block but it was fun to see Adelyn playing with them. She got a kick out of driving the fire truck--holding the wheel and dancing. We were all cracking up!

Sunday Night Blues

Is tomorrow really Monday...?

We are happy to have our little peanut back after the fun weekend adventures but not happy that it is the end of the weekend. Adelyn did have a blast in SD. She was able to spend hours yesterday at the zoo and this afternoon at ChuckECheese. Lucky girl! Jon and I went to the Borne Ultimatum yesterday--an action movie with Matt Damon. He's happy, I'm happy. Such a great compromise! We went out to dinner again last night and enjoyed an evening relaxing at home. It was a fun anniversary celebration weekend.

Missing 'Muscles'

Adelyn headed off to Sioux Falls, SD yesterday with Grandma to spend the weekend at Auntie Stacy's. Jon and I are celebrating our anniversary--4 years on Aug 9th. Grandma has wanted to take her on a road trip there anyway so we figured we would just stay home and celebrate by doing whatever we wanted! We had a very nice dinner last night in Mpls and then walked around near the 35W bridge collapse. We couldn't see a whole lot being that it was dark, but we could see enough to know it was bad. 3 days later it is still hard to believe.

There's not enough time to fit in everything we would love to do in just a couple days but we have talked about a lot of options. Its almost noon and we are still in our pjs so the days off to a good start--haha. Adelyn is already on her way to the zoo and we are confident she will have a fun filled weekend. She will be very spoiled :) I do miss the little peanut! Here are some photos of our little goofball.

Look at her good form--knees bent, lift with the legs

We don't call her muscles for nothing

See you guys later

WOW! This is cool...

How do you get this thing out?
